Message from our President
As the newly appointed President, I am very much looking forward to the coming year and working alongside a very talented committee.
My name is Cheryl Baumber, and I joined the club 3 years ago with my Hungarian Vizsla, Luca. We started off in the Intro class and then progressed through to complete the Canine Good Citizenship Gold and Advanced companion dog. At present we are doing scent work and have completed the novice stage.
I also have a young Weimaraner called Gretel who is coming on with her training. She has been a little more challenging but with good consistent training we are doing well and moving forward.
I have always had dogs that have been a pleasure but properly training Luca has transformed my thinking, a well-trained dog is a free dog, free to go anywhere you goand is always a pleasure to be with. I would never have an untrained dog again.
I am also a trainer and what a privilege it is to watch the relationship between owner and dog grow.
Our aim is to watch the club grow and provide a place where Trainers, owners and dogs all come together to provide a friendly environment where we can all learn with good positive outcomes.
I am looking forward to a successful year.
